Well, I am 14 years old (i stopped growing taller and i have a medium body frame), I am about 200 and I know i am overweight. There is an ab lounge in my house and I do have a bike. I want to be able to lose at least lose 50 pounds. Whats the best way to lose weight over the summer!? How can I lose and keep the weight off during school?Best way for teen girl to lose weight. Any advice?
Horse back riding has probably taken twenty five pounds off of me in two months. It also could of been the humid climate, but that's a good start. Find yourself a good horse program in your city and have fun. Swimming is good exercise, as is hiking and riding bikes. A better diet might help you to keep off the extra pounds when school comes back in to session.Best way for teen girl to lose weight. Any advice?
Simple math... you have to burn more calories than you take in... it's simple really. At 200 lbs, and I'm going to assume you are 5' something you probably burn about 2500-3000 calories a day. You need to take in less than that and increase your daily activity can help you burn even more. A great way is to say you can only have a ';bad-for-you'; treat if you did activity that day. It can be done, monitoring what you take in is the fastest way to lose weight in a healthy way and keep it off.
It's not easy, but knowing is half of the battle. You can do it!
ok, so in order to lose weight, you have to burn off more calories than you consume.
the bigger you are, the more calories you will burn from an excersize.
but this doesnt mean not eating!!
it will slow down your metabolism if you dont eat!!
so eat healthier but make sure you dont consume just a little amount of calories thats bad too.
but just keep up the excrsizing..and during summer, swimming would be a GREAT excersize, especially since its fun to do :]]
so just eat right and excersize!
good luck!
:]
ps) also work on portion sizes on foods and dont do too much snacking....when youre hungry, drink water to and see how full you get from that. if you dont really like water, like me,
try flavored water!
eat more salads cut out the junk food eg fast food, chips carbohydrates start walking hour, hour and a half every day drink more water cut out coke or any soft drinks, go for a ride with friends start swimming
well firstly the solution is to execise! you should jog daily and then keep up the pace. when you're ready, run! I maintained my body weight for two years --maybe three by doing that.
then you should eat a healthy diet.that's all! And you must be confident, too. AND dont be anorexic too.
1.ride ur bike 5 hour's a week
2. don't eat pie or cookies maybe 1/2 fat though. try weight watchers stuff i do.
3.DDR hard mode! [dance dance revolution]
4. eat 3 serving's of fruit's and vegetables each day!
5. treadmill :1 mile each day.
well, thats al i got. hope it's helped you!

don't drink Gatorade or powerade only drink water or tea
go swimming its the best thing for you
and remember your doing this for yourself not anyone else
hi there, i used to think the exact same as you.
Try checking your BMI, it helps, I found out that I am ideal weight and could be slightly entering the underweight which is not good.
I recently figured out my situation. I eat food and then exercise it off but to lose weight I need to exercise more than I eat. Frankly I hate myself as i dont get any guys or anything but at least im not a ****. I may not necessarily look good in a bikini but i dont mind as i like myself now.
Im size 8 in my trousers and weigh 119 lb but im only 13. Im 161 cm tall.
I did try dieting but you just eat more after and stopping eating is the same.
The best way is to exercise. Admittedly everyone wants to be skinnier and I do as well but I am fairly happy when i look in the mirror. I do aspire to lose weight and i exercise a lot but try doing some workouts that can tone your body as this will give it a slimmer apppearance and its better for you.
Hope this helps, the key is to exercise -DO NOT DIET!

good luck
idk but when you find out tell me
allright, first let me tell you that the worst thing anyone could do is stop eating, so if anyone says that, ignore it.
Second, you will stop growing at around 25.
So, during this summer, you want to limit yourself to one junk meal a week, that's only one trip to Mcwhatever, lets face it, it is not fair to just plain cut off our junk food supply.
Try to drink as little soda as possible (Gatorade also has too much sugar). I recommend you to make your own green tea or chai tea, in a small jar put five or six tea bags and add honey instead of sugar (splenta is also bad for you). Then put it in the fridge and you got yourself a tasty cold sweet beberage. Water is always good too!!!
Avoid pastas and rice and potatoes (specially the ones found in chinese food) because they have too much carbs, you want to burn what you got already. Also avoid too many cookies and white breads, get yourself full grain bread and maybe some jelly spread. (I limit myself to two oreos a day, may sound ridiculous but I really like oreos, however they have quiet some fat there)
Get skim milk or soy milk instead of regular.
Good foods are eggs, any fruits, vegetables, legumes, chicken (grilled, not fried) avoid any fried foods. Tuna is also good, I despice it but oh well. So tell your mom to cook more healthy.
Take your bike here and there, you are fourteen, too young to do any weight training, I don't recomend you to lift any weight but your own (that is, if you want to do push ups and standing lounges or squats). Ask someone how a body squat is done if you dont know what I am talking about.
Do abs to avoid your tummy to sag due to the weight being lost. Abs you can do them one day on one day off using your abd lounge.
Once the summer has passed, try to keep on like that, you will start to enjoy it as you see the changes.
Check fitness magazines for women (not stupid teen magazines) and get into it.
Have fun!!!
eat breakfst always and run jog dont stop also try not to resist snacks
lol this is a pretty simple answer, watch your intake dont take in more then you need to function, as well as try to be as active as possible ';within reason'; dont expect to be where you want to be at first, this will take time, start walking for long walk begin on some jogging dont do more then you can handle but you have to challenge yourself, eating healthy and moderate exercise will work wonders but you stay disclipline. You need anything email me stay strong.
A couple of things I know. Don't stop eating!! Thats the first thing. Whatever that might do for you will be outweighed by the harm it can do. Besides, it doesn't encourage a healthy lifestyle. Here is what I know. You need to come up with a mix of a healthy diet and good exercise. There are many different ways to do this, but I advise that you watch your portions, avoid 'sweets' and 'candy' even if it is 'just one bite' or 'just a little bit. Stop the pop as well. You should be drinking lots of water, at 200lbs you should be drinking about 100oz of water per day. I can't offer you too much in terms of working out, but your best bet is to join a local gym where you can enroll yourself in free classes and use a variety of gym equipment [Ask your mom and dad about this one]. Another thing about diet - eat a healthy breakfast. Check out the link below and it will give you some good information concerning breakfast. One thing though is if you get some protein in your morning diet you won't be as hungry later in the day. The best way to --not loose weight-- is to skip breakfast. So eat in the morning! That's all I got for ya =P
P.S - Be serious and don't give up. Losing weight and being healthy take work.
run! i was on the track team and i lost 10 pounds in the first month. start of easy and just jog around the neighborhood. And don't drop out at the first hint of tiredness or whatever.
By the way, do not become anorexic. it's grosssssss
You can go on mypyramid.gov and see how you can eat healthy. It will also include how long you should exercise. Just try to eat healthy and work out during the summer.
Get on that bike! Unfortunately, I will have to agree that for your age, 200 lbs. is probably a bit much for your frame. Try to get on your bike and ride as much as you can - riding your bike will help you burn calories by using those big muscles in your legs - your legs and back end will get toned also. Safe weight loss is about 2lbs. per week - weight loss any faster than that will put your body into ';starvation mode'; and if you begin to start eating in your normal way after you diet, it will regain your weight and possibly become heavier. Lose weight by watching what you eat - choose smaller portions and eat more often so that you don't feel hungry. Educate yourself about what foods are healthy for you - since you're still growing, don't cut out protein and choose foods that are low in fat. You need some fat in your diet (good fat) to help you feel full when you eat, but also to keep your body functioning normally. Stay away from fast foods or only eat fast foods as an ocassional treat. See the movie ';Supersize Me'; and you'll find out why fast foods are really bad for you. Good luck in taking care of yourself. You'll realize later that taking good care of yourself now will help you as you get older.
Because you're looking to lose so much you should see a doctor first and come up with a plan.
A plan on how to eat healthy and what types of exercise would be best for you while putting the least strain on your joints.
You need support so make sure friends and family understand and don't try to sabotage your efforts. I recomend signing up for a women's magazine called Fitness. They appear to realize that we come in all shapes and sizes and not everyone works out every day.
That mag has recipes and exercises and focuses on making you feel good. I also subscribe to Shape magazine which is okay. Environment is everything so you want pictures of healthy people and recipes for healthy meals around you.
I wouldn't worry about setting too many goals right now or what will happen when school starts. Just take it a day at a time and come back to us if you need some moral support, okay? :)
when u eat eat less of a portion that u normally eat and well excercise and maybe try stretching and a little jogging besides running helps ur heart but DONT over do it with too much excercise but make sure u get enough
well u can try the special k challenge or eat lots of fruit and vegatables and excersise I'm on a diet to
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
exercise right. at least 3 times a week. eat a healthy diet. and also you could talk to your doctor if your really concerned.
what ever u do DO NOT make yourself throw up. thats the worst way to lose weight. also DO NOT starve yourself. u will start losing control and u will find yourself getting so thin that u get sick and your family will worry about u. they will put u in the hospital and so on. exercise, eat healthy, stay away from large fat foods, but dont cut fat out completely, and as some people might have already said u can always talk to your doctor.
eating healthy food, like fruits, vegetables, have a balanced diet and some excersises
use the ab lounge and the bike
Eat healthy, and exercise. Start out with walking, go into a slow jog, and eventually work your way up to running.
